Outpost and CMA present the Grammy Award winning Argentinean pianist-composer Pablo Ziegler, accompanied by bandoneon virtuoso Hector Del Gurto, and guitarist Claudio Ragazzi. They’ll be performing original works by Ziegler as well as works by his long-time mentor, Astor Piazzolla. Pablo Ziegler began performing classical repertoire at the age of 14. He began playing jazz and formed the Pablo Ziegler Trio in the 1960’s. In 1978 he joined Astor Piazolla’s New Tango Quintet. The Pablo Ziegler Trio for New Tango will offer a full afternoon concert on Sunday, February 26 at 3pm at the Simms Center in Albuquerque Academy.
