The band performs a vast repertoire ranging from rare historic compositions, to commissioned works by renowned jazz composers as well as members of the orchestra. Featured in all aspects of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s programming, the versatile JALCO also performs and leads educational events across the U.S. and around the world in concert halls, dance venues, jazz clubs, public parks, river boats, and churches; with symphony orchestras, ballet troupes, local students and an ever-expanding roster of guest artists. They were featured in the PBS Great Performances show Swingin’ with Duke: Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, and to date, twelve JALCO recordings have been released.
