Michael Anthony Trio + Stu MacAskie’s Certified Organic

Unfortunately, Dianna Hughes will not be performing tonight but her collaborator, guitarist, Michael Anthony will instead perform as a trio with special guest appearance by vocalist Patti Littlefield. Michael Anthony is one of the busiest musicians around and is well-respected by the NM jazz community, as well by his numerous students all over town. He will be joined by bassist, Rob “Milo” Jaramillo and drummer John Bartlit.

Certified Organic is a quartet featuring some of New Mexico’s most respected and in-demand musicians, including Dimi Disanti on guitar, Glenn Kostur on saxophone, John Bartlit on drums, and Stu MacAskie at the Hammond B-3 organ. The group explores traditions of Funk, Blues, R&B and Jazz and puts their own twist on them. In addition to playing original tunes, the band delves into the rich repertoire of "organ groups" both past and present, and finds ways to reinvent some Soul and R&B classics.
