Teen Performance Night

This fall’s first Roust the House Teen Performance Night is a pre-election special. Just 4 days before the 2008 Presidential election, this evening is co-presented with New Mexico Youth Organized and is being organized as a celebration of the non-partisan “get out the youth vote effort” — a fun, Halloween event for the community that will provide a safe and entertaining space for youth and volunteers in the community; an event which not only gets people excited to vote, but also is a great “thank you” for everyone who worked hard all season to register people and “get out the vote;” part of a national coalition with others around the country on this one day organizing similar events nationwide — each with its own local flavor. Featured tonight are DJ Bea with Post Punk, Electro Clash, Disco Funk, New Wave, Indie Pop music master; DJ Eve playing Brit-Pop, Mod, Electro-Clash music; DJ Mittens playing dub step music; the teen band, City Side Front playing power pop, indie music; plus more.
