Inpost Artspace Reception: Four
Molly Geissman, Holly Roberts, Debi Dodge and Emily Trovillion
An Artscrawl First Friday Event
May’s exhibition at the Inpost Artspace highlights the works of four women artists living and working in New Mexico: Molly Geissman, Holly Roberts, Debi Dodge and Emily Trovillion. Although diverse, each artist shares a desire to explore the physical and/or metaphysical in what is not always obvious to the casual observer. Molly Geissman’s work is primarily non-objective, brightly colored abstracts, conveying a sense of spontaneous action while contemplating a greater sense of being; Holly Roberts’ mixed media paintings catalogue montages of everyday life immersed in a kinetic body of abstract expression; Debi Dodge will be exhibiting monotype prints along with encaustic works inspired by her travels and observations of the natural world, and Emily Trovillion’s surrealistic compositions provide a landscape where she explores esoteric character mythologies and ruminations of the natural world.
Exhibit Dates: April 28-May 21
