Artist Statement: “This work is composed of vintage, salvaged, and collected materials. It consists of layered surfaces: bits and pieces from drawings and writings, discarded books and magazines, obsolete reference material, and mysterious random ephemera and objects. The work is a process of transforming written language and visual information rendering it unrecognizable. New order, associations, connotations, and context emerge from this encoding of individual pieces of information into a reinvented whole.”
