Originally started in Albuquerque by bassist Zach Lane, now in Kalamazoo, Ztrain also features Dave Izard, keyboards; and Jon Wert, drums. Dedicated to original music and new arrangements of jazz standards. The band says, “Swing guaranteed!

Led by Chilean born percussionist Pablo Sanhueza, and based in Kansas City, Makuza is a Latin jazz sextet fueled by the crossover of Afro-Latin and African-American musical traditons and innovations. With Pablo Sanhueza, percussion & lead vocals; Mauricio Salguero, reeds, vocals & percussion; Kevin Cerovich, trombone, percussion & vocals; Luis Guerra, bass; and Brandon Draper, drums; & TBA, piano.
